Peace – Lovesick [Official Video] + Live performance on Later With Jools Holland

Peace have unveiled the video for Lovesick, the third single from debut album ‘In Love’.

Speaking on the song and video, Harrison commented ‘Lovesick is a really uncool song. Saying that, sometimes it’s not about anything except what you feel. And when you reach that place, things happen that are beautiful. Beautiful because they’re really really real. It’s hard to say anything about the video. Maybe because I just woke up? Maybe because it’s such a straightforward classic video? I feel a bit like James Brown in that weird interview where he just sings his own song and says ‘I look good, I smell good and I make love good’. I definitely don’t look or smell good though”.

Ahead of the release of Lovesick (due June 23 on Columbia), the band were invited to perform live on the prestigious Later With Jools on BBC 2 alongside Queens Of The Stone Age. Watch their live television debut below now. (Warning – It’s pretty damn great):

Bloodshake, a new weekly Indie blowout, launches Friday May 3rd.

BLOODSHAKE

With the relaunch of The Garage, Deadly/HRO have teamed up with Mama to create Bloodshake – a brand new indie blowout every Friday night from 10pm – 4am.

Starting Friday May 3rd (Bank Holiday weekend), Bloodshake is a carefully curated indie club night that features new bands we love and guest DJs playing everything from Splashh to The Strokes, Daft Punk to DIIV, Pulp to Parquet Courts.

Bloodshake also sees some of the most exciting new bands performing live. In May, heavily (and deservedly) hyped Popstrangers from New Zealand play their first ever London show. On May 10th Birmingham’s Superfood play their first headline show after destroying the country with Peace. Paradise bring their ‘endless wave’ of blissed out pop to week three. The final two weeks of May will see Big Deal perform tracks from their upcoming album and, following their release on Giles Peterson’s label Brownswood, Birmingham favourites Troumaca.

To launch things, Peace host an after-party bigger than their gig with Harrison Koisser and co taking over the decks for a massive love-in and The Fly will be curating Room 2 to celebrate the launch of their re-branded May issue.

TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW.

Peace – Follow Baby [Official Video]

Following on from their brilliant single ‘Wraith’, Peace have released the video for their re-mastered, re-released version of ‘Follow Baby’. The video features the band playing in a moving set before smashing up their instruments, with a good dose of slow-motion thrown in.

The director RobRob along with the band came up with the idea for the video, “Basically we wanted to make the performance as uncomfortable and messy as possible by literally screwing with the band live on set. The band themselves were so laid back, and just rolled with it all, no questions asked, and their performances were perfect from the word go.”

‘Follow Baby’ features on their debut album ‘In Love’, due out on March 25th. You can pre-order it here.

Peace – Wraith [Official Video]

Peace wrap up an outstanding 2012 with an alluring video for their track Wraith. Sat motionless and transfixed, scantily clad women look for their attention. Speaking on the video, Harrison Koisser summed it all up perfectly, “Wraith is about falling in love with a prostitute, but not really a prostitute and not really falling in love”. We couldn’t have put it better. Enjoy the video.
