It’s not often we get the chance to see Buraka Som Sistema doing their thing, so when the opportunity comes up we certainly ain’t going to miss it.

Playing with a host of other great artists, the Parklife Festival in Manchester is the place to be on June 12th. With the cancellation of their performance at Matter this is the only UK performance scheduled for the band so those with tickets are in for a treat.

J-Wow is one of the main producers and the driving force behind Buraka Som Sistema, a band which, if you’re on this site, needs no introduction. And while the band rests up from a massive 2009 that saw them move bodies and win fans all over the world with their live show, J-Wow has been on a massive creative streak.
His first single, Klang, is out now on Deadly Records. Klang is a beautiful, ambient and melodic departure from the Buraka sound, with dreamy pads and a delicate buzzy bass. It’s the beginning of a deeper, more personal sound, with songs built on layers of melodies. Vinyl is limited, so get in there while you can, kiddies!
