Short Film: L’Hotel Dystopie

L’Hotel Dystopie from GlassmatesTV on Vimeo.

Our good friend Jake Harmer who is a Producer and Editor at the brillaint LoveHate Productions makes his directorial debut with this disturbing and enigmatic vision of the future.

Having produced both the ‘Dead Disco Dancer’ and ‘Ruins’ videos from O. Children, Jake takes a snippet of their album track Heels to extend the energy in this stunning debut.

Make it yourself!

Iced Tea is a really big deal. England is slowly starting to catch on, but at the moment, it’s only here in the form of sickly sweet Lipton varieties. Making your own is pretty easy and super tasty. Here’s how:

Make a pot of tea using 1 bag of black tea, and 2 bags of herbal (I like to use 1 bag of peppermint and 1 bag of something fruity). Remove the bags after 5 minutes and sweeten with a teaspoon or two of sugar. Let the pot cool on the counter or in the fridge.

To serve, pour over ice and add a splash of tropical fruit juice.

Massively into holidays

As if you need another reason. Check out this talk by the dude who has done album artwork for Brian Eno, Lou Reed and the Talking Heads. He takes one year off every seven and attributes a large part of his creative output to activities pursued during the sabbatical year.

Ps. I love Ted Talks.

Plant Food and Centipedes… A Bad Mix.

Prompted by the inflated headlines in today’s papers I felt it fitting to begin this regular blog posting with a little shout out to that beloved plant food: Mephedrone. ‘Meow Meow Killed My Boy… Don’t let it kill more kids’ read the headlines, as a grieving father tells of the pain caused by the ill-fated death of his son.

WOOHOOOO, THE CLOCKS GO FORWARD NEXT WEEK!

Summer in the UK is long overdue.  I’m really over the wack weather we’ve had and I need some brightness in my life.  I’m looking forward to less of this…

And more of this…

ROLL ON SUMMER!
