Bowie’s Station to Station to be reissued

Escalator Records, Tokyo

Whenever I think of Tokyo I always combine the images of Blade Runner and Lost In Translation. Super-sized billboards, skyscrapers, street food, people being pushed onto trains, strange polite conversations and wild secret parties in tiny apartments.

When we visited last week we ticked off all those things and on our day off went on an adventure to find Escalator Records, the first store in Japan to stock Deadly Records.

Top designer Sam Coldy provides illustrations for O. Children album

The debut album from O. Children features work from 22 year old London Met graphic design graduate Sam Coldy. The CD and vinyl cover artwork is ominous and brooding, depicting the celestial lyric ”on the edge of solace & divine” from stand out track Fault Line. The illustrations are all original pieces created specifically for the release.
