Drop The Lime – No Sleep For The Wicked [Official Video]
Following the brilliant State Trooper, Drop The Lime kicks of 2013 in a big way with the release of No Sleep For The Wicked. Taken from his album Enter The Night, this was the perfect way to set up what is going to be a big year for the New York native.
“No Sleep For The Wicked ties the album together for me, actually,” said Venezia. “It’s the one song that incorporates a dance beat, spaghetti guitars and vocals. It was also the last song I wrote for the record. Thanks to Miss Kacie Marie, who sings the background vocals, I feel it really represents entering the romance of the night.”
No Sleep For The Wicked is out January 15th on Ultra Music.
Enter The Night album available now.

Drop The Lime – State Trooper [Official Video]
When we told you all a little while back of Drop The Lime’s State Trooper being selected as the official soundtrack to the Jack Reach trailer, we promised a video, and now we have it.
A brilliantly executed video, we see Drop The Lime as an outlaw and on the move. Shot in black and white, it draws reference to cult classics and showcases Luca as the iconic entertainer we’ve grown used to.
Enjoy!

Drop The Lime x Tom Cruise
It was Friday morning. 5am to be exact. Los Angeles was calling and it could only mean bad news.
“I need an answer” they said.
“What?”
“Have you not checked your email?”
I hadn’t since it was 5am but Los Angeles doesn’t recognise time. I checked my blackberry and there was a request for Drop The Lime’s State Trooper. Drop The Lime covered this dark Springsteen tale on January 2nd. I know this since he came to my hotel in New York the next morning to play it to me. He looked drained.
Coming through the speakers was a howl.
“I don’t know what I’ve done” he said. And it’s true. I never heard him sound like this. Something took over him and it was pure spine-tingling.
Fast forward nine months. Los Angeles is on the phone.
“What’s Jack Reacher?”
Jack Reacher is the adaptation of the much-loved Lee Childs book series about an ex-military drifter who settles scores in his own way.
After talking through the movie and the song, Los Angeles drops the big one.
“Tom Cruise is the lead.”
So from our little office in Dalston, we’re suddenly in negotiations for the usage of soundtrack trailer for a Paramount Tom Cruise movie. But more than that, the movie is bad ass. And the song sounds awesome in the trailer.
Check out the trailer. It’s a big moment. We’ve also just finished a music video for the song which is also amazing…but that’s coming soon.
